Hello and thanks for stopping by. I am Gwendolyn McCann-Mulamba. I am the Owner, Designer and Handcrafter of all that is Oh My Gosh! Boutique. I Currently live in Los Angeles, but I hail from Mobile, Alabama. I am an Actress of Stage, Film and Television. I lived in NYC for many years and attended New York University's prestigious, Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Acting Program. Some of you may not know the up and down journey of the actor. Well let me tell you. Many actors go from project to project. For some that can be back to back. But in most cases, let me say, you might have to wait more than a minute. Sometimes, you'll wait so long that you have enough time to give birth to other creative ideas and watch them grow.
Oh My Gosh! Boutique was born in 2015 after returning to my hometown of Mobile, Alabama. I found myself facing many difficult challenges. I was not prepared for the employment and financial drought. Mobile was not the Big Apple and definitely not the entertainment capital of America. There were very few job opportunities that would give me a substantial income. However, I have to say God provided! Yes!
One day while sitting around, I received a call from a dear friend, Kim Hawthorne, whom I had not spoken to in years. As we spent time catching up, I filled her ears with all of my trials and tribulations. She asked, if I had other creative ideas that I could develop and would bring in income. I mentioned that I had gone to the garment district and purchased three bags of leather, just before leaving New York. When I conveyed that I intended to use it to make jewelry, she encouraged and inspired me! She asked me if I could come up with some extraordinary designs and added, that if I did, she would buy them. Welp! That was all I needed. I didn't get rich and It definitely did not give me a business at that time. But it did give me another passion and creative outlet which I have continued to pursue to this day, in addition to my acting. And here I aaaaam! I am so excited!
